WHAT IS THE NATIONAL WOMEN’S MUSIC FESTIVAL?

WIA's Got Talent Contest

This event is happening in 3 cities (Kansas City MO, Madison WI and in the Chicago area.) Each city organizer will create their own procedure for determining the winner from their city. See Cities listed below for more information.

Kansas City MO - The winners of the Radio segment of the KC contest are Ginger Doss, Amber Dawn Gardner and Carol Davis. The winner will be decided at KC Gay Pride on June 3rd.

The Madison Live Contest was held on Friday, April 27 at the Brink Lounge, 701 East Washington, Madison WI.

The winner of the Madison contest is GreenTone

The winner was chosen by popular audience vote and a panel of judges.

WIA's Got Talent - Virtual Call for Women Performers

Single Performers, Bands, Comedians, Spoken Word & Ensembles

Due date June 7, 2012 by 5:00 PM Expanding talent search beyond city boundaries. If you want to be considered please E-mail an mp3, or video with Press Packet or Statement about your Performance to lesliedjudd@gmail.com by June 7, 2012. Regional judges will evaluate performance materials. The selected performer(s) go on to play live at various time 2012 National Women's Music Festival, Sunday July 1, 2012 and compete with other location winners.
The winner of the contest at the Festival earns a 2013 National Women's Music Festival Main Stage spot.

Excluded from this call, Kansas City MO and Madison WI.

Live and Silent Auctions

Please donate those items around your home that you no longer need to the Women in the Arts' auctions. We greatly appreciate 1st edition books written by women authors, women's music, quilts, your hand-made crafts or any other woman-made items. Bring them with you to the festival. Or email nwmf.info@gmail.com for a mailing address.
